Praying for Others

Our Chaplains love to come together and pray for others. Their big mission this year has been praying for the sick and housebound of the parish. They have even made them cards to cheer them up and let them know we are praying for them.

Praying for Ukraine and all the people caught up in the conflict.

Souls of Lost Soldiers.

At lunchtime our children read some prayers at our prayer garden, rembering all the soldiers who served our country. It was wonderful to see them paying their respects as they refected on God's healing love.

Christmas, our school choir went to sing at our local Hospice - Pendleside Hospice - and they presented the staff with a cheque from the our fundraising at school.  The choir sang beautifully and the staff were filled with pride when they watched and listened how the children mingled afterwards with the ladies and gentlemen at the day care unit. They brightened up their afternoon!  A special thank you goes to Mr Joe Winkley who gives up his time to rehearse with the children and play the piano..

The whole school were involved in a Christmas Carol Recital.  Each class sang their own songs and all of KS2 performed their own version of Jazzy Jingle Bells (with persussion instruments), thanks to Mrs Blackledge.

the Chaplains also take great care in writing the Bidding Prayers we have at our Masses. They think about who needs our prayers and write them carefully.
