Lizzie from Brierfield library came to visit Class 1 to tell them about the library and the different schemes that they can participate in. She also read some Christmas books to them.

                           

The Pre-School read ‘Stick Man’ and then made their own stick men and retold the story.

 

Class 2 carried out some hot seating in their English after reading the story of ‘Zog’.

    

Class 3 enjoying reading in the sun! 

Class 4 loved listening to author Katherine Rundell on their Waterstones virtual school event. They were especially fascinated with the stories about tarantulas and piranhas! 

 

Class 3 participated in a online zoom with Michael Morpurgo in their world book day celebrations!

We welcomed author, Brian Beresford to school in January. He read extracts from his latest novel, The Midnight Grocer, taught the children a song and answered questions. The children who ordered his book loved receiving their signed copies.
