Each week, we present a truly deserving member of our community with the ‘Caritas Social Teaching Award.’ This award is a symbol of our shared commitment to embodying compassion and love in action, recognising those whose outstanding contributions, showing Love in Action and who have made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The ‘Caritas Social Teaching Award’ can be given to an individual, a group, a class, or even the whole school. Its purpose is to highlight exemplary efforts that reflect the core values which are grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and inspire us all to respond with kindness, justice, and service.

We are delighted to be taking part in our annual appeal, raising money for children, mums and dads across the Diocese of Salford who need help. Not everyone has the things they need to make a happy home, but Caritas, through the St Joseph’s Penny Appeal, reaches out to those vulnerable children and families in our communities. They offer support in lots of different ways – from food parcels to counselling sessions, from Christmas presents to giving young mums and their babies somewhere safe to live; Caritas means something different to everyone we help.

 The St. Joseph's Penny boxes have been distributed to the classes. We always support this charity during Lent and the children and families do a wonderful job of filling up the boxes!
