Class 3 enjoyed a trip to Ribchester Roman Museum on Wednesday. They were shown and are able to handle real Roman artefacts including fragments of pottery, bones and metal objects. One of the most exciting parts of the day was when children had the opportunity to try on the replica armour and helmets. They were shown equipment and weapons and learnt what life would have been like in the Roman army. At the end of the day the children were shown the remains of the fort outside the Museum, including the granaries and west rampart.
