Juniors Enjoy Exciting Visit to Blackpool Zoo

Our Junior pupils had a fantastic day at Blackpool Zoo, where they enjoyed seeing a wide variety of animals from around the world. During the visit, the children explored different habitats and observed animals including elephants, giraffes, gorillas, sea lions and penguins. They showed great enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned about animal adaptations, habitats, diets and behaviours. The trip provided an excellent opportunity to bring classroom learning to life and helped pupils develop a deeper understanding of how animals survive in different environments and why conservation is important.

The visit linked closely to our curriculum, supporting learning in Science through the study of living things, habitats and classification, and in Geography through exploring animals from different countries and climates around the world. It also encouraged pupils to develop respect for the natural world and an awareness of the importance of protecting endangered species. The children were a credit to the school throughout the day, demonstrating excellent behaviour and a positive attitude to learning, and we are sure they will remember their zoo adventure for many years to come.
