Class 4 Learn About Staying Safe - Knife Crime

This week, our pupils welcomed visitors from the local police force, who came to talk about an important topic: knife crime and personal safety.
The officers spoke to the children about the dangers of carrying knives and explained how making positive choices can help keep everyone safe. They discussed the law, the risks involved, and the impact that knife crime can have on individuals, families, and communities.
The session was delivered in a friendly and age-appropriate way, encouraging pupils to ask questions and share their thoughts. The officers also talked about the importance of speaking to a trusted adult if they ever feel worried or pressured by others.
Our pupils listened carefully and took part respectfully throughout the visit. The discussion helped them to better understand how they can stay safe, make responsible decisions, and support their friends.
We would like to thank the police officers for taking the time to visit our school and for providing such an informative and engaging session. Opportunities like this help our children develop the knowledge and confidence they need as they prepare for the future.
We are proud of the mature attitude shown by Year 6 and look forward to continuing to work with community partners to promote safety and wellbeing for all our pupils.
