Flat Stanley First Aid

Today, pupils in Classes 2, 3 and 4 took part in exciting Fat Stanley First Aid sessions. The children learned important first aid skills in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way.

During the sessions, pupils were taught how to:

  • Assess an emergency situation safely

  • Call 999 and ask for the correct emergency service

  • Place someone in the recovery position

  • Recognise when someone is not breathing

  • Perform basic CPR techniques (using demonstrations)

  • Help someone who is choking

The children were enthusiastic and asked thoughtful questions throughout. They demonstrated excellent listening skills and showed great maturity when practising new techniques. The sessions helped pupils gain practical life skills, build confidence and understand how to keep themselves and others safe.

Learning basic first aid is an important life skill, and we are very proud of how confidently and sensibly our pupils approached today’s training. Well done, everyone!
