EYFS / KS 1 Trip to Eureka

Our EYFS and Key Stage 1 children had an amazing day out at Eureka! The National Children’s Museum in Halifax – a place full of hands-on exhibits, exciting activities, and lots of opportunities for curious minds to explore, play, and learn! From the moment we arrived, the children were captivated by the museum’s colourful and interactive zones. Each space was designed to spark imagination and encourage learning through play – and our pupils didn’t waste a second diving in!

The children loved stepping into a giant mouth, exploring the human body, and learning about how we grow, move, and stay healthy. The realistic hospital area gave them a chance to be doctors, nurses, and even patients – lots of future medics in the making!

The children played shopkeeper, bank teller, builder, and post worker. They learned all about everyday jobs and how people work together in a community. It was brilliant to see their teamwork and role-playing skills shine!

One of the favourites of the day was SoundSpace – where children experimented with music, noise, and rhythm. Many also enjoyed climbing aboard the child-sized train and pretending to be passengers or conductors!
