Year 5 Science Trip to Fisher More High School

Year 5 pupils recently visited Fisher More High School to take part in an exciting science lesson designed to support their transition to secondary school.
During the visit, pupils became science detectives as they worked together to investigate a mystery: which Hogwarts character had committed the crime. Using scientific enquiry skills, pupils analysed clues, made predictions and tested ideas to reach their conclusions.
A highlight of the lesson was the opportunity to work in a real secondary school science laboratory. Pupils safely took part in practical experiments, including using Bunsen burners, which many experienced for the first time. This hands-on learning helped build confidence and enthusiasm for science.
The visit gave pupils a valuable insight into what science lessons are like at secondary school, while also developing teamwork, problem-solving and investigative skills. Year 5 pupils behaved exceptionally well and represented the school with pride.
We would like to thank Fisher More High School for providing such a fun, engaging and memorable experience.
