Young Voices at MEN Arena

We enjoyed taking part in the Young Voices Choir for the fourth year running.  The concert took place at the M.E.N. arena  in Manchester onThursday 2nd February 2017.  Many thanks to the children who took part this year - you were all amazing and represented Holy Trinity School fantastically.

They joined thousands of other school children at Young Voices.  Our visit to the M.E.N. arena was a day to remember. We were there to join with 8000 other children who make up the Young Voices Choir. It was great to get together to sing with professional musicians in an amazing venue and create a spectacular evening of entertainment. The children (and staff) were very excited as we set off on the mini bus. As we got closer, we met other schools and soon we were all assembled for the afternoon rehearsal. We spent the next three hours practising songs and dances and the time flew by. As parents started to arrive, we played spot the adult!  Then, at 7pm, the lights went down and the arena erupted to the sounds of Young Voices 2017. We felt like popstars! (Well, the teachers did.) The volume of noise, the dancing and the light show were all spectacular. It was a brilliant evening. Here are some of the children’s comments “I liked coming in to the stadium” “Urban Strides were AMAZING” “I would definitely recommend Young Voices to anyone,” “I like the beatboxing and the dancing” A big thank you to the children who represented us so well. I am already looking forward to next year!
